We are all keen to get our hands on the new Pixhawk 2 autopilots which where first scheduled to start shipping on September 28th, but things have been taking much longer than expected mainly due to adverse weather! The good news is that we can expect to have our first batch of Pixhawk 2 boards within the first two weeks of November! Below is the message from the factory!
Our original target for mass production was set on Sep 28th. However, several unforeseen difficulties have occurred and delayed our target schedule. We encountered a delay in the delivery of PCBs, followed by two consecutive typhoons which disrupted the factory operations. Some technical issues have also occurred during the testing of products. We are deeply sorry for the inconvenience and troubles caused to you.
However, we are currently at the very final stage of MP. Testing equipment have been set up in the factory and ready for thorough testing of PCBs, accessories and plastic covers have been prepared and under shipping. Therefore, according to our updated schedule:
The very final print of PIXHAWK2 PCBs will be finished on Oct 29th.
The assembly and boxing will be finished before Nov 4th.
From Nov 4th to Nov 10th, we will start to arrange the shipping according to the purchase orders.
We would like to assure you that every PCBs from us will be tested before shipping, to bring you the most reliable flight controller.
